About Us

Buckhaven Learning Center was established in 2006 as Non-Profit 501(c) 3 organization.  Buckhaven carries out activities designed to offer Disabled/Combat Wounded Veterans the opportunity to participate in hunting and related outdoor activities as well as educational programs to learn about hunting, nature and other similar topics.

Every year BUCKHAVEN hosts an all-expense paid “Whitetails for Warriors” Hunt for “Combat Wounded/Disabled Veterans“, at the Handlebar Ranch in Mt. Gilead, Ohio.  Twelve Veterans will have an opportunity to harvest a whitetail deer on this very special hunt.  A major emphasis is placed on honoring our disabled veterans in an educational and recreational environment.  Our objective is to provide support with adaptive equipment, and to explore and experiment in the great outdoors.  Watch our Event Page for Dates, Details.  See the Application tab to apply for this hunt.

Because BUCKHAVEN Learning Center, Inc. is a NON-PROFIT 501 © 3 Organization,  none of the BUCKHAVEN Officers, Board of Directors, nor Volunteers are compensated for their time and devotion.  This allows your generous donations to do the work it was intended.

BUCKHAVEN will continue to add other programs dedicated to introducing the Combat Wounded/Disabled Veterans to the Great Outdoors and opportunities for hunting.
